
Interview with Rubén Castillo Martínez, COO of Juventud de Torremolinos.
Today we meet Rubén Castillo Martínez, COO of Juventud de Torremolinos, who talks to us about his professional experience, his integration into ACA Football Partners, his arrival at the entity and the development of the club in the future.
WHO IS RUBEN CASTILLO?
Rubén Castillo is a native of Malaga, and trained in administration and finance. Later he graduated as a university expert in management and direction of sports entities, in addition to having the national title of coach.
A person always linked to Malaga’s grassroots football, first as a player in all categories of the CD Tiro Pichón, and later as a coach of both 7-a-side football and 11-a-side football at different clubs, such as UD Los Prados, Ath. Fuengirola, and until later joining the Málaga CF academy. He has extensive professional experience linked to football, where he joined the sports administration department of Málaga CF in 2015, being responsible for it from 2019 to 2022.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE IN SOCCER:
“My whole life is linked to grassroots football, initially as a federated player until the end of the youth stage. From there I began my training as a coach until I obtained all the qualifications, until I became a national coach and I have been in different grassroots football clubs, both in management and as a coach. Subsequently, I began my professional stage at Málaga Club de Fútbol for the last nine seasons, where I have been able to be in the administration department of the youth academy in the sports area and right now starting the new ACA Football Partners project, here in Torremolinos”.
RUBÉN DEFINE YOURSELF IN 3 WORDS:
“I consider myself a person with empathy, very responsible and with a great desire to improve”.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO START IN THE ACA FOOTBALL PARTNERS PROJECT?
The reasons from the first conversations we shared the same vision in terms of sports management. First of all, have a medium/long-term strategic plan marked out. Secondly, it is a firm commitment from the base for the commitment to the quarry. And thirdly, the potential of the town of Torremolinos and the province of Malaga in general.
WHAT IS YOUR VISION IN YOUTH IN TORREMOLINOS CF?
Well, with a lot of enthusiasm and above all, a great desire to take advantage of this opportunity and to grow together with ACA and achieve the objectives set.
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF THE CLUB AFTER YOU ARRIVED?
Well, I have found a lot of gratitude and enthusiasm, and above all a great desire to take advantage of this opportunity that the arrival of ACA Football Partners has offered us here in the town of Torremolinos.
WHAT MESSAGE COULD YOU SEND TO THE FANS?
