An interview with Naranjo

José Naranjo, a 21-year-old player from Granada. He is a forward with great agility, good definition, good ability to play with the back turned and a great header.

  • At what age did you start playing football?

At age 12, in the infantile category.

  • In which team did you start playing?

In the team next to my village, Láchar, and later in CD Cijuela 2008.

  • Have you ever visited Torremolinos? If so, what do you like the most?

I have visited only a few times and it has always been at the beach.

  • What is it most appealed to you about the club, for coming here?

I think it is a club that is doing things very well and this is being demonstrated. Making my debut in this category and with this group is a very exciting challenge.

  • What position do you feel most comfortable in?

Centre forward

  • What do you hope for next season?

I hope to achieve the team and individual goals.

  • What would you emphasize of your game?

I consider myself a striker with good back play, good play in space and above all a striker who can finish and play in the penalty area.

  • Which player has been your idol or reference?

Karim Benzema

  • Who is the best player you have played against?

I think there are a lot of very good players in these categories. I wouldn’t be capable of choosing one.

  • Do you have any pre-match rituals?

Nothing special. I like to be quiet and very concentrated.

  • Do you have any hobbies?

I like young children and teaching, that’s why I’m studying a Degree in Elementary School Education. I also like other sports like tennis and paddle tennis, among others.
